Altro Slip Resistant Epoxy Workshop / Showroom Flooring

We applied Altro’s slip-resistant variant of their high build epoxy coating to the public and workshop areas of this new car showroom and preparation centre.

Following consultation with our sales and technical staff, Altrotect Plus was selected for use in this 6000m2 car supermarket and preparation centre.

Initially, the client simply wanted the floors dust-proofing, but in the end the benefits of a slip-resistant epoxy coating were chosen. The results justified the decision, with the area benefitting from a bright, light-reflective finish which improves the safety of both customers and employees.

The process involved shot blasting the power floated concrete to clean and profile the slab. Minor imperfections were made good prior to the application of the Altro two-coat epoxy system. The finish has a light texture which is produced by adding a fine micaceous mineral to the uncured epoxy prior to application.
