IFT works on underfloor heating and screeding package at the new build Allander Leisure Centre
Anderson Floor Warming & Renewables and Integrated Flooring Technologies worked together on the Underfloor Heating and Screeding package at the new build Allander Leisure and Day Care Centre, Bearsden. The new leisure facility includes an eight-lane swimming pool and teaching pool, a sauna and steam room, and a hydrotherapy pool. The development will also host a new gym and spin studios, an eight court games hall, and two squash courts.
The works involved Anderson Floor Warming & Renewables installing 2,500sqm of underfloor heating with IFT supplying / applying a 50-111mm Retanol Xtreme screed onto the underfloor heating.
Anderson Floor Warming and IFT have built a strong relationship having worked together for many years. This gives the client reassurance when placing the heating/screed package. Working closely with the underfloor heating partners, IFT are able to advise and assist from initial tender stage through to final design approval and installation.
IFT carried a further 1,500sqm of Mapei Topcem screed direct for the main contractor, McLaughlin & Harvey, throughout the project.
The state of the art centre, which is part of a £42.5million investment by East Dunbartonshire Council, was opened to the public earlier this month and both Anderson Floor Warming and IFT are delighted to have had key involvement in the production of this trailblazing new leisure centre.
