London Supermarket Receives Decorative Flake Flooring
John Lord first met Henry Pirie of SeeWoo at Maintec 2012. He had 900m² of problem floor at his wholesale and retail facility in Greenwich, London: it comprised very old vinyl tiles, many of which had been patched over or replaced over the years with mis-matching colours.
Many of the tiles had lifted and de-bonded from the substrate giving the floor an unsightly appearance and creating a possible trip hazard. To achieve a more permanent and safer solution than their existing floor, SeeWoo decided to install a John Lord resin floor. In order to allow the fasted installation time while providing the properties required by the floor, John Lord recommended Acrigard FK in Emerald with 1-3mm Flake. Acrigard combines fast cure times with decorative finishes in a range of methylmethacrylate resin. With a full cure of just two hours after application of a final seal coat, the store could open as usual. The John Lord Acrigard range of resin floors can be specified with infinite flake combinations creating a bespoke finish. The floor is low maintenance and provides the ideal properties for high traffic, retail environments.
