Packing a Mean Deal
The IRL Group has transformed a 14,000m2 old warehouse into a high tech packaging facility for the pharmaceutical industry.
IRL fully appreciate that clients have to work within a specific budget and that cost does matter, but by getting involving early enough it can help to arrive at realistic target costs and even make suggestions to save money through value engineering. On the back of this approach a local Main Contractor approached IRL to supply and install epoxy resin floor coatings for a regular client of theirs. 14,000m2 of Sikafloor 264 high build epoxy resin (FeRFA type 3) was installed to transform an old warehouse into a high tech packaging facility for the pharmaceutical industry. Contrasting colours denoted transport routes keeping pedestrians and vehicles segregated. The works were carried out in phases to ensure that other trades could work to meet the client’s deadlines. IRL is pleased to have been involved with the end user on sites in Newmarket, Newport, Banbury and Nottingham. Throughout 2015 IRL have kept to its commitment of halving the amount of construction and packaging waste going to landfill. As part of this over 97% of the waste produced from this project was recycled
