Sir Nicholas Winton Memorial Garden
Project Name: Winton Memorial Garden
Completion Date: May 2017
Location of works: Maidenhead
Total Protection (Great Britain) were appointed to install Resin Bound Gravel to a decorative walkway for the historic Sir Nicholas Winton Memorial Garden. The garden was built in the memory of Sir Nicholas Winton, who arranged the safety of many Jewish children in the Second World War. The family of Nicholas wanted to create a space for relaxation and contemplation to reflect on Nicholas’ heroic life. Total Protection were responsible for laying product in the colour Trent to a circular designed centre piece adjacent to a pond and wooden bridge. When applying the material, extra care was taken to protect the granite setts already in-situ. Once the entirety of the construction works are completed, the garden is set to open this Summer.
