To meet Reco Turbo’s needs, we selected Monarflow, our self-smoothing epoxy resin flooring system, for its outstanding durability and high-gloss finish. The Process: Precision in Every Step
1. Floor Preparation To ensure a flawless application, we began by mechanically preparing the workshop floor. This critical step removed imperfections and created the ideal surface for bonding. 2. Priming We applied two layers of pigmented damp-proof membrane (DPM) primer to protect the floor from moisture ingress and ensure a strong foundation for the resin layers. 3. Monarflow Application Next, we applied Monarflow in RAL 7046 (Telegrey 2) for the main floor, delivering a modern, professional look. The pit area was finished in RAL 6027 (Light Green), creating a striking contrast that enhances visibility and safety. 4. Expansion Joints All existing expansion joints were saw cut through the finished floor, then filled with a flexible polyurethane sealant in black. This step ensures long-term durability by accommodating the natural movement of the floor. 5. Custom Details with Monarcoat 700 We applied a custom stencil of Reco Turbo’s logo using Monarcoat 700 in black, adding a bold branding element to the workshop. Additionally, we coated the pit walls in black for a sleek, polished finish.
